About Yetunde Bernice Omotosho, MD

Yetunde Bernice Omotosho, MD, MHSc, is a neuroendocrinologist with Keck Medicine of USC who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of hypothalamic and pituitary disorders such as acromegaly, Cushing’s disease, TSH-secreting tumors and prolactinomas. Viewing every case as unique, she prioritizes an evidence-based treatment approach specifically tailored to each patient’s needs.

For Dr. Omotosho, the most crucial aspect of a doctor-patient relationship is trust built on open communication and empathy. In her day-to-day practice, she demonstrates these qualities by maintaining confidentiality, respecting patient autonomy and making sure her patients have an equal voice in the decision-making process.

Dr. Omotosho earned her medical degree from the Grigore T. Popa University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Iasi, Romania. She subsequently completed her internal medicine residency at the Chicago Medical School-Rosalind Franklin University program at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital. She then earned a Master of Health Sciences in clinical research from Duke University and completed her endocrinology training through the Inter-Institute Endocrinology Training Program at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Omotosho is an assistant professor of clinical medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Her research explores the mechanistic pathways underlying tumor development and invasiveness in pituitary tumors, as well as ways to advance targeted therapeutic strategies that will reduce tumor burden and improve quality of life. She is also deeply interested in the effects of chronic stress, HPA-axis dysregulation and cortisol exposure on cardiometabolic health. Dr. Omotosho has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the Endocrine Society, the Pituitary Society and the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology. She was also a recipient of the Endocrine Society’s Future Leaders Advancing Research in Endocrinology (FLARE) Award in 2023.

Born and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Omotosho has also lived in Europe, Indiana, Illinois, Maryland and California, which she credits with shaping her inclusive worldview.

My philosophy of care is grounded in empathy and informed by rigorous research that advances patient-centered therapies for pituitary and neuroendocrine health.
